Formspring Question #230--It's a Miracle Edition
Do you think that the "writer's room" scripting of TW: Miracle Day is working better or worse than the "single author" scripting of the previous seasons?Beats me. I have not watch Torchwood; Miracle Day since the first episode. As a general rule, nothing done by committee is as good as it could be, particularly when it concerns the creative process.
Formspring Question #229--Misguided McCain Edition
Meghan McCain outed herself as a sci fi geek on Twitter yesterday. Does that make you like her more?Science fiction geekdom is 99% male and anxious for female attention. Take a wild guess why the desperate for approval Meghan McCain suddenly claims to be a part of it.

What do you think of the Sovereign Citizens movement?Their belief the federal income tax is unconstitutional has some merit, but they are otherwise too close to anarchists for my taste. The idea of rejecting all form of law outside of English common law is too much for me. They are too extreme for he FBI, too. The Sovereign Citizens are considered an extremist group. I am not familiar enough
Formspring Question #225--Ordinance of Secession Edition
Will Rick Perry's talk of Texas secession come back to haunt him?I doubt it. He has a well earned reputation for making exaggerated statements while pandering to crowds. Get used to it, assuming he does not hire a campaign strategist who will yank his leash when it looks like he is about to go overboard. If he continues to look like the real deal, there will be no shortage of consultants
Formspring Question #224--Pain, Pain, Go Away Edition
How plausible is the basic premise of Star Trek V that taking away one's pain will prompt absolute loyalty to whomever removed it?Not very. While there are certainly people who have been severely traumatized, often by systematic abuse, they cannot function in society, the idea that someone who is functional, but carrying around the pain of loss or failure, will abandon all other loyalties when
