Ok, it uses Wi-Fi technology to retrieve forecast predictions (from the internet). The handle will glow with intensity depending on the likelihood of rain occurring. The glowing handle provides a “clear and unobtrusive signal to the user,” because looking out the window was a little too obtrusive for some people.
